The regional sections are real structures for
consultation, studies and application representing each major
producing region.
They are represented by different partners which role is to
define and implement a conservation and selection policy which
meets the needs of regional vineyards; this in close collaboration
with ENTAV.
This role particularly consists in :
- to define a selection programme proper to
each variety,
- to carry out prospecting in old plots then set up and ensure
the follow-up of the regional repositories,
- to study the behaviour of the clones by setting up a data
collection and behavourial plots,
- to select the clones to present to the certification, to
propagate and to distribute.
- to make recommendations to growers regarding the use of
the certified clones
