| To insure best sanitary conditions
for the preservation of certified and non-certified clones,
ENTAV set up its repository in soilsmade of pure Mediterranean
sand free from phylloxera or nematodes vectors of Fan leaf. |

| This national repository is
unique and is planted with a collection of 1000 certified
clones of wine making, table grape and rootstocks varieties. |

|
Each clone preservation and implantation
conditions are 10 plants for Vinifera and 5 plants for rootstocks.
The repository is monitoried via complete and regular sanitary
inspection. To further secure the preservation of selected
material, out of soil growing of all certified material
in insect-proof greenhouses is in process. |

| Today, 36 ha are planted on
the Domaine de l’Espiguette covering in addition to
the national repository, pre-propagation plots necessary
for the distribution of vine vegetal material and collections
of certified clones. These collections complete the regional
repositories aimed at maintaining the widest possible
intra-varietal diversity possible and constituting a veritable
potential for future selections. |
