After 44 years’ activity, the situation is as follows :
- over 18 000 clones introduced and tested
(200 to 500 clones are analysed every year at the Domaine
de l’Espiguette),
- over 4 000 clones conserved on the site,
including :
- 3 400 clones of wine grape varieties (registered or
not on the Official Catalogue, foreign varieties, INRA
patented varieties),
- 390 clones of table grape varieties (traditional varieties,
INRA patented varieties and foreign varieties),
- 330 clones of rootstocks varieties.
Among the plant material conserved, the certified clones
can be broken down as follows :
- 730 for wine grape varieties, representing
135 varieties registered on the Official Catalogue,
- 80 for table grape varieties,
- 160 for rootstock varieties.
