The 2nd edition of the “Catalogue
of grapevine's varieties and clones cultivated in France”
has just appeared.
This book of 456 pages presents and
describes all the varieties of vine registered with the French
national catalogue including wine grapes, table grapes and varieties
of rootstocks. The “interspecific hybrids” are also
described. The total is 318 varieties and for each, pictures
of leaves, bunches (and shoot tips for rootstocks) are shown.
Compared to the first edition, the presentation of clones have
been updated and supplemented. All the approved clones are described,
that means 820 clones in totality.
This Catalogue whose realization was coordinated by IFV, is
the fruit of a collegial work which brought together partners
of the Institute, INRA, Montpellier SupAgro and Viniflhor.
